About Vourakis

In 1926, master goldsmith Ioannis Vourakis opened his namesake boutique at 8 Voukourestiou Street, bringing Athens its first jewelry house of international standards. With exquisite craftsmanship, rare gemstones selected according to the strictest gemological principles, Art Deco designs and creative details that were ahead of their time, Vourakis quickly became a meeting point for connoisseurs of high jewelry.

By the 1940s, the house had caught the attention of Greece’s royal family, who became loyal patrons. Their endorsement introduced Vourakis to the Athenian elite, helping the brand transcend national borders and establish itself on the global stage.

The legacy of the house passed from Ioannis to his son, Dimitris Vourakis, and later, in 1996, to his grandson, Antonis—a gifted jeweler and astute businessman. Under his leadership, Vourakis not only reinforced its status as a leader in high jewelry but also became the gateway for world-renowned brands like Vhernier and Cesare De Vecchi to enter the Greek market.

Today, nearly a century after its founding, Vourakis remains a symbol of excellence. With Antonis and Becky Vourakis at the helm, the house continues to push creative boundaries while upholding its rich heritage. As they pass the torch to Antonis’ daughters, Ourania and Dimitra, Vourakis house stands as one of Greece’s most long-lasting and revered jewelry houses, set to continue its legacy for generations to come.
